Pfister Unveils Wedding Dress-Inspired Bath Collection

Jan. 7, 2019

Plumbing products manufacturer Pfister says its new Rhen collection of faucets and fixtures draws inspiration from the design of an heirloom wedding dress.

The new collection is a mix of transitional and modern style and attempts to portray the organic movement found in fabric. The “peek-a-boo” design of the collection’s trough faucet carves out a space through which the user can see water as it is running out of the tube. A detailed shape at the base of the spout mimics the shape and flow of a dress skirt.

“At Pfister, the important aspects from our personal lives inspire our designs,” says Tim Burdett, Pfister’s senior global product marketing manager. “The inspiration for this collection, for example, was sparked by an heirloom wedding dress. We wanted to integrate the elegant folds and free-flowing fabric detail of this vintage dress with our contemporary take on the trough faucet.”

The Rhen collection features 14 products, including faucets, shower and bath products, and accessories. Pieces are constructed from metal and come in polished chrome, brushed nickel, matte black, and brushed gold. The collection will be available beginning in February 2019.
