Duravit is expanding its Me by Starck bathroom collection to include an ADA-compliant one-piece toilet.
The collection, designed by Phillippe Starck, is marked by its clean and contemporary aesthetic. Duravit says the new ADA-compliant toilet will help achieve the collection’s goal of offering “individualized solutions for any and every bathroom, with design and diversity in mind.”
“When we first launched Me by Starck in 2015, we aimed to speak to the individual—providing products to meet anyone’s individual requirements, specific aesthetic, or set of needs,” says Duravit USA President Tim Schroeder. “Our new ADA-compliant model speaks to the collection’s original mission and expands upon it, offering a design-centric option for everyone, regardless of age or ability.”
The new model will follow ADA guidelines for height, coming in a taller toilet seat height of 17 ⅜ inches with an optional left or right side flush lever. The toilet will also include Duravit’s Rimless flush technology, which “ensures a dynamic and powerful flow of water that rinses the entire inner surface, while allowing for efficient and hygienic maintenance.” Duravit has also reduced the weight of the toilets, allowing for “self-contained components that do not require attachment niches on the sides.”
