ComfortBoard 80, a rigid stone-wool nonstructural insulation sheathing board from Roxul, provides a continuous layer of insulation around either the exterior or interior of the building envelope. Made of natural and recycled materials, the board is CFC and HCFC free, noncombustible, water repellent, fire resistant, and sound absorbent. It is vapor permeable with low moisture absorption, so it won’t rot or promote fungi or mildew growth. Suited for exterior walls and sloped and pitched roofs, ComfortBoard 80 can easily be cut with a bread knife.
