It may be far-fetched, but Gawker writer Haimlton Nolan likens California’s housing inequality to one that is on the path to revolution.

Nolan contends that the high cost of housing is pushing citizens deeper into poverty, even though there is only so much land. Builders are having a hard time building new affordable housing in desirable cities such as Los Angeles and San Francisco, and the middle- and lower class keep getting pushed out.
