Zillow has jumped on the bandwagon of digital selling tools, while also introducing a new way for potential buyers to visit listings in person. Already offering 3D home tours, the listing site now offers digital floor plans, according to HousingWire. And in a response to the 55% of adults uncomfortable with touring an occupied home, Zillow now has an option for agents and prospective buyers to unlock an unoccupied home through the site’s app for self-guided tours. The site’s president believes tools like these will soon become the new standard.

Another option for home shoppers is an extension of Zillow’s 3D home tours, with added floor plans. These floor plans have room dimensions, and in the future will be a feature on all homes for sale.

Another Zillow survey said that 79% of homebuyers said they are more likely to view a home if the listing includes a floor plan they like, while 71% of homebuyers said a dynamic floor plan would help them determine whether the home was right for them.
