Opportunities: November is World Quality Month

November is World Quality Month and November 10th is World Quality Day ! This can be a great opportunity to leverage local and regional events. Perhaps a chance to tour a manufacturing facility, attend a presentation on quality improvement and get to see how other industries are using quality. A great chance to pick up on new ideas right on your doorstep!

ASQ and other quality organizations around the world are celebrating this event.

With national, regional and local events being planned it is a nice opportunity to raise awareness within your own organization and your clients or partners about Quality. These events may allow you to connect with tours, conferences, presentations and other resources to promote quality. Check out your local ASQ Section and see what they have planned or give them a call about upcoming events and opportunities.

About the Author

Denis Leonard

Denis Leonard has a degree in construction engineering, and an M.B.A. and a Ph.D. in quality management. He is a Fellow of the American Society for Quality and has been an Examiner for the Baldrige National Quality Award Board of Examiners, a Judge on the International Team Excellence Competition, and a Lead Judge on the National Housing Quality Award. He has experience as a quality manager in the home building industry as well as construction engineer, site manager, and in training, auditing, and consulting with expertise in strategic and operational quality improvement initiatives. His work has achieved national quality, environmental, and safety management awards for clients.
