Bosch Home Appliances has introduced its first-ever industrial ranges and rangetops to the 800 Series line, which combines function and easy cleaning, according to the company.

To address top consumer concerns, the company collaborated with the Cooking Technology Center in Caryville, Tenn., to design the ranges with ample cooking space, powerful burners, and an easy-to-clean set up. The ranges are available in 30- and 36-inch models. Rangetops come in stainless steel while the industrial-style ranges are available in both classic- and black-stainless-steel finishes. Both models feature front-control knobs. With continuous cast iron grates, pedestal feet, and die-cast metal, the company says the ranges will bring “urban sophistication to the kitchen with its bold approach.”

“When creating the new line, our goal was to marry the bold, prominent look of professional-style appliances with the modern, sleek Bosch design philosophy,” Anja Prescher, director of brand marketing at Bosch, says. “As a result, the all-new Bosch industrial approach was born, offering a versatile product that fits perfectly into the Bosch family of appliances, while also offering a never-before-seen design option for our consumer.”

The industrial ranges will be available mid-year 2020, but other models such as the 800 Series Gas Cooktop (above) are available now

If consumers go for the industrial-style gas ranges, they can choose between the 30-inch range and five burners or the 36-inch range with six burners. Both models include layered racks in the oven. Rangetops come in the same dimensions but with slightly different features: The 36-inch model brings intensity to the line with 6 high-power burners and 77k BTU of power, while the 30-inch rangetop has four burners. Dual burners, which allow cooks to quickly go from a small flame for simmering to a dual flame for boiling, are also available for both sizes, but the two come standard on the 36-inch model. Between the dual-burner feature and the burner caps designed to spread flames evenly, the company says users can more precisely cook while minimizing the risk of scorching food.

“The new ranges offer a dual fuel option, featuring an electric oven for more precise temperature control,” the company says. “This also includes the Meat Probe, which measures the internal temperature of meats cooking in the oven and automatically shuts off when it reaches the appropriate temperature.”

With bubbling pots boiling over and frequent sauce spills, kitchen appliances are prime suspects for mess. To address this, Bosch says it optimized the 800 Series to be easy to clean.

“Due to its porcelain coating, the black enameled cooking surface in the new line is quickly and easily cleaned, with more resistance to scratches, abrasion, heat and stains,” the company says. “The surface can be cleaned with hot water and detergent, or mild cleaners.”

The line includes removable burners so consumers can effectively clean the tops of the ranges, and the units’ grates undergo an enameling process that makes them dishwasher safe for quick clean up without risking cracks, corrosion, or discoloration. On the inside, the company says the ovens are coated in catalytic-cleaning finish that interacts with heat to burn off spills on the surface, cleaning the cavity while consumers cook and leaving less mess to address when the food is done.

This new collection will be available mid-2020.
