Over the past several years, housing experts have tracked the most popular states and metro areas among homebuyers in the midst of an unprecedented housing boom, but a new study by HouseFresh takes an even closer look at the nation’s hottest markets. The company examined average daily search traffic for more than 108,000 active Zillow listings in the 100 largest U.S. metros to find not just the most popular cities, but the most in-demand neighborhoods within those cities.

The neighborhood that drew the most Zillow searches was Northeast Dallas, which attracted 36,113 average daily views, followed by the Hollywood Hills with 32,216 views per day, and Camelback East, Phoenix, with an average of 30,366, The New York Times reports.

Listings in Northeast Dallas, the most searched neighborhood of all, averaged more than 36,000 daily visits. Zillow puts the current median home value there at $425,393 now, about $100,000 over the national median, suggesting more realistic searches. But Los Angeles’s Hollywood Hills neighborhood was a close second, with more than 32,000 average daily visits. The median home value there, now nearly $2 million, indicates more of a fantasy scroll for most.
