EPA beefs up stormwater discharge rule from construction projects

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has finalized its 2012 construction general permit (CGP) that authorizes stormwater discharges from construction projects that disturb one or more acres of land in areas where EPA is the permitting authority.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has finalized its 2012 construction general permit (CGP) that authorizes stormwater discharges from construction projects that disturb one or more acres of land in areas where EPA is the permitting authority. While far more burdensome than the agency’s old permit, the new permit is much less onerous than what the agency originally proposed.
