New regulations in Minneapolis for new homes will soon go into effect after the city council approved new zoning amendments. Some residents complained that some newer, bigger homes are detracting from the charm of their neighborhoods. The changes include height limits for homes, requirements for a specific amount of yard space, and incentives for high-quality construction materials. The new rules go into effect Oct. 1.
