Costs during installation of residential solar projects can be reduced with integrated racking, as well as systems that allow for one-day work and standardized designs, according to a joint report from the Rocky Mountain Institute and the Georgia Tech Research Institute. The use of integrated racking involves eliminating the nuts and bolts from solar rooftop assembly, and could be the easiest way to cut costs.
