As it approaches its 75th anniversary, Pittsburgh-based Rosedale Technical College is introducing a new 16-month carpentry program designed to prepare students for careers in carpentry and construction. The program provides students with hands-on comprehensive training in essential carpentry techniques and safety practices. During the program, students will gain practical experience in rough framing, formwork, and interior and exterior finish applications. They will also learn about other building systems relevant to both residential and commercial construction and the course will integrate knowledge from other Rosedale Tech offerings, such as its electrical and HVAC programs.
“We are committed to providing relevant and practical education to our students. The introduction of this Carpentry program has been in the works for the past two years and is a testament to that commitment. We're especially proud to offer this program now, as we enter our 75th anniversary and look forward to many more years of serving our community," said Kara Chan, Director of Education and Marketing.
