Emerging Bathroom Design Trends for 2025

From spa-inspired features to quality lighting, these design elements are leading the way in popularity

Over the course of the year, consumers have been drawn to bathrooms with spa-inspired wellness features. And this will likely continue into 2025 and beyond, according to the recently released 2025 Bath Trends Report from the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA). Over the next three years, NKBA predicts this trend will continue to be popular, along with intentional lighting, natural colors, and low-maintenance products and designs. In fact, 90% of survey respondents say they want their primary bathrooms to be a place to relax and recharge.

“The bathroom is evolving into a sanctuary of relaxation and rejuvenation, as the demand for spa-inspired features continues to grow in response to the stresses of modern life,” said Bill Darcy, Global President & CEO of NKBA | KBIS. “Thoughtful design elements such as ease of maintenance, optimal lighting, and integrated smart technology empower homeowners to craft spaces that not only restore the body and mind but also elevate their sense of well-being.” Read more
