Though the new DXV Belshire bathroom collection features modern fixtures such as a wall-hung toilet, the collection’s elegant design and mixed-material finishes evoke the glitz and glamor of the 1920s.
“Modeled after the Art Deco style of the 1920s Golden Era, Belshire is a full-bathroom suite featuring DXV’s thoughtfully curated and distinguishable design, including one-of-a-kind pieces in mixed materials and elements that can be personalized to tell everyone's individual design story,” the company says. “Meticulously detailed and finely crafted faucets, fixtures and furniture deliver period-based designs that capture the essence and opulence indicative of the era while incorporating the conveniences of today.”

For the sink, the collection offers faucets that come in a range of finishes and fittings. The company chose a starburst pattern with a sparkling finish to exemplify the “columns, interiors and decorative motifs symbolic of the most well-known art deco-style buildings in New York City, including the Stella Tower, Chrysler Building and the Empire State Building.” For fittings, consumers can customize the look by choosing either a low- or high-spout model. Once they have the model they want, they can further personalize the faucets with lever, cross, or cushion handles.
“The first decades of the 20th Century ushered in a new spirit of experimentation especially in decorative arts, automotive design and home goods,” the company says. “Industrial design was on the rise with controlled contours, simplified geometries and a reductive approach to decoration.”

The collection does not shy away from mixing finishes: For the personal shower set and hand shower, tub spout, trim kits, grid drain, and other accessories, consumers can choose from satin brass, platinum nickel, brushed nickel, and chrome.
Other products in the collection include a towel bar, towel arm, robe hook, and a tissue holder for good measure. In porcelain white, consumers can pick from a freestanding tub or a wall-hung toilet meant to complement the other pieces in the collection.
Besides fixtures, the collection also includes cabinetry and furniture. For the vanity cabinets, which are handmade in Portugal, the designers chose walnut and oak.
“Each vanity honors traditional woodworking techniques, with handcrafted pieces that are checked throughout every step of the creation process to ensure quality and design integrity,” the company says.
As an accent to the wood, designers chose locally-sourced Carrera marble consoles that house an undermount sink with a faceted-bowl design. These consoles rest atop a bras metal base for “a clean, seamless look,” according to the company.

For the furniture, DXV again chose walnut and oak to match the cabinets. Satin brass, platinum nickel, and marble also make a second appearance via the furniture. Continuing the theme of customization seen in the cabinet pulls and faucets, the company says consumers can mix-or-match the furniture to create a unique look.
Belshire is the newest addition to the company’s Golden Era Movement portfolio, which features an array of 1920s to 1950s-inspired collections. It joins the Wyatt, Randall, Pop, Keefe, and Fitzgerald Bathroom Collections. Other movements include Classic (1890-1920), Modern (1950-1990), and Contemporary (1990-present).
The collection debuted at KBIS 2020 and will be available later this year.
