Less affluent Boomers plan to upsize for retirement

The non-advocacy, non-profit think tank Demand Institute reported that their studies found less affluent Boomers plan on spending more on their next home, MarketWatch reports.

Among these so-called upsizers, many have delayed plans to purchase their dream home due to the recent economic downturn. The median price of a home this group plans on purchasing will be $180,000; for the more affluent downsizers, the median price will be $200,000.
