New Texas Retirement Community Situated Near Grandchildren

Aug. 28, 2015

Scottsdale, Ariz.-based builder Taylor Morrison plans to bring a new Bonterra community for ages 55 and up to Fulshear, Texas, the Houston Chronicle reports.

“The new gated community in Fulshear will span 268 acres and is planned for 736 homes, including waterfront home sites,” the article says. “The homes will have similar amenities and floor plans as the original Bonterra at Woodforest, which is planned for 700 homes.”

According to Rob Bamford, general manager of nearby local community Cross Creek Ranch, many couples are moving to the area to be near their grandchildren in family-oriented Katy and Fulshear.

“The new Bonterra community will appeal to an underserved segment of the west Houston population,” Bamford tells the Houston Chronicle.
