Construction Dive spoke with three construction industry experts to see what the market should expect in the coming year. All three predicted industry growth in 2016.
Focusing on residential construction, AIA Chief Economist Kermit Baker expects “significant growth in the single-family sector due to pent-up demand after years of slower activity,” Construction Dive reports. This comes on top of the already nearly recovered multifamily and home-improvement segments, which are now “entering an expansionary stage.”
Similarly, NAHB Chief Economist David Crowe is also optimistic, mostly due to an improving job market.
