Judging from data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, construction employment is growing faster in the West and Midwest.
NAHB Eye on Housing analyzed November regional employment statistics and found that Hawaii (12.46%), Nevada (12.34%), and South Dakota (12.27%) are the best-performing states.
The country as a whole has seen a rise in construction jobs, as 44 states and Washington, D.C., experienced gains in year-over-year construction employment last month.
