According to a Better Homes and Gardens survey of 1,600 homeowners, Millennials strive to personalize their homes, use smart home products, and don’t mind decreased square footage if their home has a comfortable feeling.
Construction Dive writes that, though 2015 didn’t deliver the first-time homebuyer boom that industry experts were expecting, Millennials are still very much interested in owning their own homes.
“Once the younger cohort does make the leap into homeownership, experts say those builders who design specifically for them and stay attuned to their preferences will be a step ahead of the competition,” Construction Dive’s Emily Peiffer writes.
