Well-designed outdoor spaces have become a very important feature for a home to have. Gone are the days when a concrete patio with some lawn chairs and an umbrella will suffice.
Now, outdoor spaces should feel as if they are an extension of the home’s indoor space. The best way to accomplish this depends on where a given outdoor space is located. Whether it is at the back, front, or center of the house changes the way the space should be utilized and designed.
For example, while a back outdoor space is cost-effective and versatile, a center outdoor space is more private, can be connected to multiple areas of the house, and can be easier to make feel like an extension of the home’s floor plan.
