Demand for smaller spaces that aren’t shared is growing in New York City. To cater to these home hunters, companies like My Micro NY are springing into action.
The New York Times reports that My Micro NY builds prefabricated microunits in the Navy Yard in Brooklyn. Units range from 260 to 360 square feet with ceilings over 9 feet high. The units will be stacked into place this spring, and rent for around $2,000 to $3,000 a month.
