New trend in transitional styles: freestanding bathtubs see big increase in sales

They may be twice the price and take up more space, but freestanding bathtubs also offer more fantasy than their built-in counterpart, The Wall Street Journal writes. More than 60 percent of designers and remodelers who are members of the National Kitchen and Bath Association have reported that they ordered freestanding tubs for bathroom projects, up 7 percent over 2012, the Wall Street Journal reports.
