Fiber-Cement Siding and Trim / James Hardie Building Products
The Aspyre collection combines the 5/8-inch-thick profiles of James Hardie’s Artisan siding with its Reveal Panel System to create an exterior look that offers Artisan’s shadow lines for horizontal and vertical definition while playing off the smooth, geometric look of the Reveal panels. Reveal’s customizable system of commercial-grade panels, trims, and fasteners can be installed horizontally or vertically and cut to size.
Anti-Burst Spigot / Woodford Manufacturing Co.
The Woodford Frost Free Model 19 outdoor water faucet is guaranteed not to burst, even if the homeowner leaves a garden hose attached during sub-zero weather. The spigot, properly installed with a downward pitch, will release pressure back into the supply line when pressure exceeds 250 psi, thus eliminating burst pipes.
Brick and Stone Alternative / Arcitell
Arcitell’s Qora Cladding consists of a rigid-foam core and fiberglass-reinforced layers that look like brick and stone. Available in 2-foot-by-4-foot lightweight panels that install like siding, with seamless panel joints, Qora eliminates the need for masonry labor. The material is impact and fire resistant and provides thermal insulation.
Stone-Look Veneer / Cultured Stone
Cultured Stone’s manufactured stone veneer can be installed over either metal- or wood-framed walls or masonry substrates of concrete block, brick, and poured concrete for interior and exterior applications. A range of shapes and textures in 105 colors, along with accent pieces, is available. The veneers are maintenance-free and can endure years of weathering without cracking, chipping, or fading, the company says.
Fiber-Cement Collection / James Hardie Building Products
James Hardie’s fiber-cement cladding provides the natural character of wood while resisting rot, curling, warping, and splitting. ColorPlus technology bakes on color for a beautiful, low-maintenance finish that will resist fading, the company says.
