A Bay Area couple purchased a $219,000 home in a county where the median home prices hit $782,00 last month, the San Jose Mercury News reports.
Their home is 20 minutes from their jobs in Palo Alto and a mile from Levi’s Stadium. The reason why the price of their home is that low? It’s prefabricated.
“They have joined a stream of young professionals and senior down-sizers who are turning to modern manufactured homes as a way of getting established in an otherwise shut-tight housing market," The San Jose Mercury News reports.
