An alternative to gas fireplaces, the FusionFire Steam Fireplace from Modern Flames emits life-like flames using only a small amount of water and just 120 volts of electricity while producing zero carbon emissions. It has a cool-to-the-touch glass face and needs no venting or clearance to combustibles, so it can be installed in places such as underneath a TV. Its six-stage variable-flame settings can be operated via a remote or touch pad. The unit has a viewing area of 60 inches wide by 16 inches high.
