After Hurricane Sandy destroyed 350,000 homes and left many stranded in their hometown of Hoboken, 60 design students started designing a resilient home.
The team, students from Stevens Institute of Technology, worked for two years and interviewed many Jersey shore residents. The result is the Sure House, which was the school’s entry into the 2015 Solar Decathlon.
