Smart home products manufacturer Brilliant has launched a national program that’s designed to help builders integrate smart home products into new construction.
Launched at PCBC earlier this month, the program is designed “to help home builders identify homeowners' smart home needs and simplify the installation” of smart home products.
The San Mateo, Calif.-based company, which has been manufacturing smart controls since 2015, has grown steadily over the last four years as smart home products have increased in popularity. Its builder program is bolstered by internal research that found that 86% of new home buyers, age 36 and younger, are willing to pay more for a home with smart features.
Brilliant will now offer product packages to builders to meet consumer needs, including smart lighting, integrated door locks, thermostat controls, music systems, climate control, video doorbells, and more. The program can also help builders strategize and right-size product placement based on square footage, budget, and buyer wants.
“This program opens the door for more builders to introduce smart home into their new construction projects, says Lisa Petrucci, Brilliant’s vice president of business development. “Buyers are looking for that perfect home; why not create a space that already has it all? That’s why we created this builder program—to provide builders with smart home solutions at the outset.”
The builder program also includes marketing materials to help builders showcase their smart features to prospective clients. Volume pricing, as well as discounts for demonstration units are also available.
