Top Health and Wellness Products Showcased at 2023 Design & Construction Week
Wellness design surged in popularity at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, and over the past several years it has continued to dominate design trends as homeowners seek out innovative ways to keep their homes safe and healthy. This year’s 10th annual Design & Construction Week offered an up-close glimpse into the newest products and trends influencing wellness design over the next year.
From micro-sized appliances and hygienic bathroom features to home sensors and alarm systems, the industry’s leading building product manufacturers (BPMs) showcased a range of exciting new home products catering to a more health-conscious consumer base, Forbes reports.
There were numerous new workstation sinks that make preparing healthy meals easier. These included a debut series from Delta Faucets, some with dishwasher-friendly accessories enhancing that convenience, and Bocchi, whose award-winning Baveno model can be ordered with a retractable faucet, creating more counter space when closed off.
Induction came on strong this year, with 12-inch cooktops from newer to the US brands Empava and Fotile, a 24-inch induction range from SMEG, and two 48-inch ranges from Bertazzoni and Fulgor Milano. Induction is considered by many chefs and public health experts to be a healthier cooking technology than its high performance rival gas.
