Instructor Shares Benefits of Working in the Construction Industry
The construction industry has been historically dominated by men, but in the past several years, more women have been breaking into the trades workforce. In a recent interview, Construction Dive spoke with Carla Wynn, who works as both a safety manager for Oklahoma City-based T&T Industrial and as an instructor at Construct My Future, a summer day camp for middle school girls who are considering a career in the construction industry. Wynn says:
“Working in construction has a lot of perks. You get to work with a team, see projects come to life and have lots of opportunities to advance. The personal satisfaction of seeing your hard work come to life is unbeatable.
Plus, with a high demand for workers, you can count on job security. And, because the industry is constantly evolving, there’s always something new to learn.”
