Luxury bathroom and kitchen manufacturer DXV brings the roaring 1920s into 2020 through its new art deco-inspired Belshire Collection.
The collection offers a full suite of products for the bathroom, from showerheads and tub fillers to sink faucets and a vanity.
“At the dawn of the 2020s, we celebrate Art Deco’s glamour and exuberance, exquisite craftsmanship and luxurious materials with our new Belshire collection,” says Jean-Jacques L’Henaff, vice president of design. “Our team of world-class designers and engineers spent three years honing every curve and detail of each product until the lines and proportions reflected a unique and perfect balance between elegance and fluidity. The result is a striking assortment that effortlessly infuses beauty, quality and creativity into everyday living.”

In its time, art deco became the symbol of luxury and glamour. DXV aimed to encapsulate this feeling with its latest collection, and says trends are headed toward a glamorous, Art Deco style.
There are 40 different products available within the collection and are mainly different variations of the same product. This allows a homeowner to customize their entire bath.
These products include two toilets, one freestanding soaking tub, undermount sink, two vanities, vanity legs, four Carrara marble vanity tops, console frame, three faucet handles, two faucets, two tub spouts, one showerhead, personal hand shower, seven shower valves, one hand shower, towel bars, and more.

Each piece of plumbing can be finished in polished chrome, brushed nickel, platinum nickel, or satin brass.
“We created the designs to stand the test of time, the idea here is that craftsmanship and attention to detail are really at the core of everything we do,” says L’Henaff. “We do this so you can express yourself by creating an inspired and sophisticated environment in your bathroom.”
The two-drawer Belshire vanity comes with a warm walnut front, a speciel L’Henaff says has emerged as a trendy material, or natural oak. If homeowners only wish to pick up a few products, the Belshire Collection is perfectly suited as well. The vanity comes sans legs or top, so homeowners can decide on different materials.

Inside, the vanity can either come with two roomy drawers or an additional third hidden drawer. This hidden drawer is slim and shallow, ideal for storing skincare and cosmetic products.
L’Henaff says subtle details are reflected throughout many of Belshire's products, such as the curves and naturally progressive arcs seen in the Belshire high-spout faucet. It has a sturdier, thick base and thins as the arc continues. It's dramatic but in the most minimal way possible. This design produced several manufacturing issues, L’Henaff says, but its final form proves the dedication and attention to detail DXV strives for.
Faceted details similar to the faucets and spouts are seen in the freestanding soaking tub. These angled facets offer lumbar support, the company says. The tub has a soaking depth of 16 inches and is made from acrylic and reinforced by fiberglass. L’Henaff says the tub flaunts zero lines and seams, making it easy to clean.
There are both a wall-hung and elongated toilet available, which features a traditional design with more contemporary details. L’Henaff says the wall-hung toilet may be one of the most important pieces of the collection, as it is difficult to find a traditional style wall-hung toilet.
