In December 2014, the NAHB surveyed builders to find out what features they intend to include in their homes in 2015.
Popular features are walk-in closets in the master bedroom and a designated laundry room. According to the NAHB, both features “speak to improving organization and storage characteristics of new homes."
Great rooms, a combination of the kitchen, dining, and living rooms, continue to be a favorite feature. Additionally, first floor ceilings of 9 feet or more is also something builders are incorporating more in homes.
