To some people, smart homes are more trouble than they are worth. When systems that control lights and electronics break down, and when thermostats that are supposed to learn your temperature preferences err too warm or too cool, homeowners feel frustrated and might not know how to fix the problems.
The issues have even caused some builders to stay away from installing smart home systems.
