Housing for Millennials: Where’s Hot, Where’s Not

Atlanta, Pittsburgh, and Memphis top the list

The sheer number of Millennials mean they have the power to remake the real estate landscape wherever they choose to settle, Realtor.com reports.

Though the popular assumption is that 25 to 34-year-olds, the older group of Millennials, will gravitate to metropolises such as New York City and Los Angeles, the high cost of living of these cities are making many look elsewhere.

According to Realtor.com, the top city where Millennials are most likely to buy a home in 2016 is Atlanta, followed by Pittsburgh, Memphis, Boston, and Austin.

Meanwhile, the cities of Jacksonville Fla.;, Phoenix; Port. St. Lucie, Fla.; Spokane, Wash.; and Stockton, Calif.; are considered the least popular for Millennials.
