Cladding and siding manufacturer Trespa has expanded its Pura NFC range of exterior surfacing with two on-trend colors from its Lumen décor collection.

A line of specialty decors for residential and low-rise commercial buildings, the Lumens décor has properties that allow natural light to be dispersed according to builders’ and homeowners’ wishes, the company says.

Pura NFC façade solution combines a high-pressure laminate with a specially engineered installation system to create the look of natural wood siding but with built-in durability. The new colors—PUL9000 Metropolis Black and PUL2581 New York Grey—allow architects and property owners to enhance a building’s curb appeal with a modern look.

“Grey continues to be the hottest neutral in home design, while black brings an air of sophistication and drama to a home’s exterior,” says Gerri Chmiel, senior design manager, at Formica Surfaces, FENIX, and Trespa Brands. “Metropolis Black and New York Grey are excellent additions to the Pura NFC collection, providing even more options for beautiful and durable exterior siding.”

As Trespa explains it, the company first introduced Lumen in its Meteon line of cladding panels in 2015. The matte surface of Lumen gently disperses light, creating a soft illumination in a saturated hue. “Architects who are interested in playing with more reflective material can request a glossy specular or weathered oblique finish for light-infused texture,” the company says.

With the release of Pura NFC Lumen, architects can create stylish modern facades that will stay pristine with little maintenance and no touch-ups or repainting, and all Pura NFC products are lab-tested to ensure they stand up to the elements.

“In a housing market that demands curb appeal, nothing speaks to builders and homeowners more than a product that combines beauty and long-lasting durability,” says Todd Vezina, commercial vice president, Trespa North America. “The new Lumen colors ensure that homes and buildings will both stand out and stand up to nature’s biggest challenges.”

Pura NFC by Trespa is a line of engineered high-pressure laminate panels that are made from wood-based fibers, Kraft paper, and phenolic resins. Ideal for exterior cladding, it also can be used for decorative facades and interior surfaces. The products can be installed vertically or horizontally and are designed to be used in a ventilated façade solution—with an air cavity in front of the load-bearing wall, allowing an airflow that prevents heat or moisture accumulation.

“The engineering that made Pura NFC by Trespa long-lasting also made professional installation a breeze,” the company says. “The easily handled siding is prefinished and comes with matching accessories like profiles and fasteners. Its relatively low weight makes it easy to move and lift into place. Also, adapting the siding is as easy as cutting it. The edges don’t need sealing—the durability and hue go all the way through. There’s no priming or painting needed.”
